In 1992, I began my transition from corporate life to establish my career as a massage therapist. I received my massage training at the Swedish Institute in New York. In addition to 650 hours of training in Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Medical Massage, Swedish Massage, and Shiatsu Massage, I have completed over 1,400 continuing education hours in the following modalities:
- Low Back, Hip & Buttocks
- Advanced Neck
- Palpation Workshop Series
- Advanced Anatomy Review
- Body Mechanics
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Pregnancy/Post-Partum Massage – certified
- Craniosacral Therapy I (Upledger Institute)
- Myofascial Release
- Active Isolated Stretching
My work is a synthesis of all of my training and I use a cafeteria-style approach to each session, customizing it for the individual’s immediate requirements.
My goal is to provide a space into which people can come to collaborate with me as they maintain or move toward balance. To that end, I am committed to providing detailed, conscious, and consistent bodywork.
